Blessington History Society – Photographic Exhibition

Featuring many unseen photographs of Blessington and district
This Exhibition Includes many unseen photographs of Blessington and district over the last 150 years from farmers working in the fields and on fair-days, earliest views of the Town’s Main Street, The Blessington Steam Tram as it connected West Wicklow with the Capital, the forgotten Town land of Ballinahown that now silently  lies at the bottom of the Blessington Lakes & Reservoir and the once famous Poulaphouca Waterfall and Gorge an important tourist attraction in Victorian and Edwardian times. It also features the strong link between Internationally renowned Irish Stained Glass Artist Harry Clarke and Valleymount Church.

New Heritage Week Exhibition for Blessington History Society  which runs in Blessington Tourist Office from Saturday 15th August to Sunday 23rd August.

From detailed research, initial planning, design, interpretation, artwork, illustration and print production… we take projects from a blank sheet of paper and a conversation to finished internal and external heritage installation.

natural and cultural aspects of our heritage that are endangered, for us to reimagine and revive these sites, artefacts and practices.
